Salmon Flies

Deschutes River
The Bad News is the Salmon Flies are all but gone for another year. We probably have a week or so left of good dry fly fishing with the big bugs. The Good News is the Caddis and Mayflies are showing in good numbers and the fish are already keying in on them. The further we get into June, the stronger the Caddis hatches will get. More Good News, with the Salmon Flies on the way out the door so are the bulk of the people fishing the Deschutes. The short and simple of it is if you enjoy fishing a world class river, with some of the strongest trout around this is a great time to fish Deschutes.

Owyhee River
The Owyhee River, big browns and more big bug fishing is just a few short months away.
